Duties & Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain advanced enterprise cybersecurity solutions to proactively safeguard core business systems and networks.

• Execute rigorous vulnerability management, penetration testing oversight, and continuous threat monitoring utilising modern SIEM tools.

• Lead critical incident response and forensics activities, swiftly containing vulnerabilities and mitigating operational risks.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to embed security-by-design principles across cloud environments, on-premise systems, and DevOps pipelines.

• Administer, tune, and optimise next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection platforms.

• Drive alignment with international security standards and regulatory frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, and POPIA.

• Champion organisation-wide security awareness programmes, establishing best-practice policies and governance standards.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related discipline.

• Proven track record of 3 to 5+ years of dedicated experience in enterprise cybersecurity engineering or technical security operations.

• Recognised professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.

• Demonstrated technical proficiency with enterprise SIEM platforms, firewall technologies, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.

• Comprehensive working knowledge of cloud security controls (Azure or AWS) and network security architecture.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and incident response capabilities with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
