Cyber Security Internship

Programme Structure Phase 1 (weeks 1-12) covers structured learning across three tracks: practical skills including Hack the Box and Capture the Flag exercises; e-learning covering cloud fundamentals, endpoint protection, network security and vulnerability management; and on-the-job training in detection and response, managed services, project management and reconnaissance.

Phase 2 sees you select a specialism within our security operations team. Available tracks include Security Analyst, Penetration Testing, Security Consulting, DevSecOps, Pre-sales Engineering and Systems Engineering. You will contribute directly to client work during this phase.

Phase 3 is the transition to a permanent position within the team, either in-house or embedded on client sites.

What We're Looking For We are looking for candidates who have already demonstrated a genuine, self-directed interest in cyber security before applying. The evidence we want to see is your own initiative: certifications or training completed in your own time through platforms such as TryHackMe, Hack the Box, Udemy or similar. Formal qualifications in IT or a related field are useful but not sufficient on their own. What matters is that cyber security is where you want to specialise, not just a door into a broader IT career.

You will need to demonstrate

• Evidence of self-directed learning in cyber security (certificates, completed courses or platform progress, e.g. TryHackMe rooms, Udemy courses, CTF participation)
• A clear, stated intention to build a career specifically in cyber security
• Curiosity and a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment
• The ability to work professionally in a client-facing business
