- Applicants that previously applied to SS 26/26, need not re-apply
- Relevant professional Technology-related qualification such as National Diploma/ B Tech/ First Degree in the field of ICT, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and/or data Analytics
- More than 3 years' relevant experience in the field of investigation, cybersecurity, digital forensics, data analytics, and /or technical troubleshooting
- Advanced Computer Literacy Office Applications and ICT, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, and /or Data analytics with strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong interviewing skills both orally and written
- Experience in a policing or law Enforcement environment and appointment as a peace officer will be advantageous
- Driver licence Code B or EB
- No criminal record
Key Performance Areas
- Identifies and preserves all relevant digital information from external devices and systems, and from City systems, EPIC platforms, endpoint devices and storage media, always maintaining integrity and auditability.
- Conduct analytical examinations of digital information to surface facts, timelines and patterns that support technology incident management, operational decision-making and, where required, formal investigations.
- Provides technical expertise across S&S and EPIC operations, Technology & Innovation, cybersecurity and business units to enable effective incident response, technology adoption and informed decision-making.
- Securely accesses City computers, mobile devices, EPIC- connected hardware and digital storage, as well as where appropriate and authorised, external computers, devices hardware and storage to acquire required information for analysis, recovery and operational continuity.
- Manages training, skills development and knowledge-transfer activities to strengthen EPIC's analytical, technology and investigative support cap
