Curriculum Development and Management Administrator
CORE PURPOSE To provide leadership and support to the Curriculum Development and Management Department by assisting the Line Manager with the various processes associated with curriculum review within the department to ensure that MANCOSA meets its strategic objectives and goals.
CORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE · Compile and regularly update trackers pertinent to the Curriculum Development and Management Department staff members and processes · Maintain all administration processes for New Programme Development and Short Learning Programmes, such as ensuring via the administration process that new programme and professional body submissions are complete and available as per the stipulated deadlines, reviewing narratives and ensuring that the supporting evidence is correctly filed within the submission folders · Maintain all administration processes for New Module Development, such as ensuring new module guides are complete and available as per the stipulated deadlines via the administration process · Maintain all administration processes for Curriculum Review such as accurately compiling and timeously implementing amendments to Curriculum Structures and Programme Information Sheets, supporting the department with the administration required for programme and module reviews (both internal and external), and ensuring module guides are of a high-quality standard via the processes of module guide review and module guide updating · Ensure via the administration process that applications for professional bodies are complete and available as per the stipulated deadlines · Source Independent Contractors for the Curriculum Development and Management Department projects · Source and manage Prescribed Textbooks for New Programme Development, New Module Development and Existing Modules projects · Maintain meeting schedules, book meeting venues and inform the relevant stakeholders regarding attendance · Attend and execute minute taking for Curriculum Development and Management Department Meetings, Programme Design, Development and Review Committee Meetings, Programme Advisory Committee Meetings and other meetings as and when required · Ensure accurate and systematic filing of all Curriculum Development and Management documentation, including meeting minutes, and correspondence, to facilitate easy retrieval, compliance, and institutional memory · Perform all formatting and layout editing thereby ensuring presentation quality and consistency on all Module Guides as per the template and manual via the online Curriculum Development and Management System · Check and sign-off on Module Guides and study material via the online Curriculum Development and Management System sent to the printers · Timeously resolve student queries · Participate and provide support in any Regulatory Body activities required · Be proficient in using the Digital Quality Management System (DQMS) · Be able to generate and manage multimedia links via the Curriculum Development and Management System
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications · Essential Qualification: Minimum Diploma or Degree related qualification · Preferred Qualification: Minimum Degree or related qualification
EXPERIENCE · Essential experience: At least 1-2 year(s) relevant higher education work experience, and experience with minute taking and administration · Preferred experience: At least 1-2 year’s higher education work experience, and understanding of curriculum and regulatory compliance
