Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
Your job responsibilities will be the following
- Service customers by identifying their needs and recommend suitable products.
- Study and analyze drawings, data sheets and other technical information to supply customers with suitable products.
- Maintain and improve partnerships/cohesion between company and various stake holders (customers, vendors, and other affiliates)
- Introduce new products and services to existing customers.
- Identify products and equipment with potential for improvement and propose cost effective solutions with clear cost-benefit analysis to customers.
- Compile customized marketing presentations well in advance of customer meetings.
- Verify specifications before confirming orders.
- Quality checking of products before handing over to customer.
- Provide technical input for quotation purposes. Advise customer on alternative products in cases where it is not viable to procure the specified item (e.g. due to obsolescence, quality issues, limitations in importing rights etc.)
- Prepare and submit engineering sales reports.
- Track and trace progress on sales orders to ensure timeous delivery of goods to customers.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- Matric
- N3 – N6 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Skills
- 1-3 years solid experience in Mechanical Engineering Sales
- Fluent English and Zulu
- Proficient in MS Office, Internal CRM system – Blue Wave (training provided)
- Technically strong in instrumentation and mechanical systems
- Able to conduct product, customer, and market research
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues
- Willing to work overtime when required.
- Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle
Package & Remuneration
Salary/Package
R25,000 – R30,000 CTC PM
