Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
Your responsibilities will be the following
- Carrying out inspection and testing work to industry specifications, whether on site or in workshops
- Completing necessary paperwork in line with set procedures and industry specifications
- Assisting with repairs and servicing of lifting equipment where required
- Adhering to regulations surrounding health and safety, quality, and environmental protection
- Trav elling between different sites and workshops to w ork on common bits of construction kit
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- Matric
- LMI Certificate
- Trade Tested Rigger Certificate
- ECSA Registered beneficial
Skills
- Minimum 3 to 6 years within a similar position
- Experience working with General lifting accessories (including chain slings, webbing slings, and wire rope slings)
- Exposure to Bespoke lifting and handling equipment
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements
- In-depth understanding of general engineering
- Experience in carrying out method statements and risk assessments
- Good knowledge of inspection and testing techniques with regard to different ty pes of lifting eq uipment
