Start free — we apply for you →MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Management of Arrears Proactively manage and recover customer accounts in arrears through daily client engagement. Follow up on unpaid debit orders and outstanding repayments to maximise recoveries. Maintain arrears and non-performing accounts within established performance targets. Accurately update customer interactions and account records on internal systems. Review and issue arrears correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Monitor and manage non-performing accounts in line with the bank's arrears policies and procedures. Prepare status reports and proposals for management and the Executive Credit Committee. Escalate complex arrears cases and collaborate with management to achieve optimal recovery outcomes. Conduct client visits when required to secure repayment commitments. Recover outstanding amounts related to changes in Musharaka transaction mark-ups. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and service standards throughout the collections process. General Admin Duties Maintain accurate records of all arrears-related correspondence for audit and reference purposes. Respond to client and internal queries relating to arrears, account allocations, and reconciliations. Prepare legal handover documentation for accounts approved for litigation. Administer deceased customer accounts in line with bank policies and procedures. Attend arrears committee meetings and provide updates on delinquent accounts. Generate, review, and follow up on regular arrears reports across branches. Prepare and submit monthly reports on non-performing accounts (NPAs). Compile and submit weekly high-value trade arrears reports to the Executive Credit Committee. Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve account-related queries and support effective arrears management. Perform general administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the arrears management function.
