Start free — we apply for you →MAINFUNCTIONS OF THE JOB INCLUDE: Senior Management Credit Committee / Management Credit Committee – Vetting of Applications & Review of valuation templates Reviewing and analysing applications within MCC and SMCC mandates, assessing credit risk and ensuring that all regulatory requirements (NCA, Companies Act, etc.) and internal policies (Credit Policy) are adhered to for recommendation to Management. Processing, extracting and analysing information from the Credit Lens System, ensuring that information is accurately captured to obtain an appropriate credit rating. Effectively managing the credit application workflow on the Apply for Finance Platform to ensure timeous and accurate decisions are provided to the respective branches. Reviewing applications on the Apply for Finance Platform to ensure compliance with policy requirements, identify potential risks and assess overall creditworthiness. Reviewing responses to query memos to ensure that all queries have been adequately addressed. Reviewing residential property valuations and valuation review templates to determine whether the property is an adequate form of collateral. Identifying risk areas and administrative issues on valuation review templates. Executive Credit committee – minutes Vetting applications for revolving trade and asset facilities. Attending Trade ECC meetings on a rotational basis and reviewing the minutes prepared by the secretary for accuracy and completeness. Administration of Quarterly BCC & BOD Meetings Preparing Board Credit Committee submissions on a quarterly basis. Reviewing completed and consolidated finance applications and decisions. Reviewing reports relating to finance applications approved by ECC, as well as Motor Vehicle and Equipment submissions for condonation to BCC. Internal & External Auditors Liaising with internal auditors regarding information requests. Overseeing requests for quarterly information from external auditors. Preparing and compiling annual submissions requested by ABG, liaising with ABG auditors regarding information provided and attending to all audit-related queries. Following up with respective branches regarding audit queries. Overseeing items on the Audit Control Issues Log to ensure implementation and actioning of outstanding matters. Financial Sector Charter (FSC) Preparing and compiling information required for the Empowerment Finance element of the FSC. (This information contributes to the Bank obtaining its BEE status.) Attending meetings as and when required by the FSC project team, representing the Credit Department. Liaising with auditors regarding queries and interpretation issues relating to FSC scoring. Credit Policies and Procedures Creating, reviewing and enhancing Credit Policies and Procedures for submission to the BCC and BOD for approval. Other Functions / General Completing various administrative and operational tasks allocated within the department from time to time (Meeting Attendance, iMal Excesses & Block-Offs, iMal System Flagging / Updates, etc.). Allocating MCC and SMCC applications to the respective analysts for review via the Apply for Finance Platform and SharePoint, updating the approval register and maintaining decision records on SharePoint where required. Verifying that information submitted to HLAMDA is correct and supported by the relevant documentation. Reconciling and maintaining Forward Exchange Contracts managed on SharePoint. Performing other ad hoc tasks and duties as required by management. Credit Awareness Sessions / Training Conducting and presenting Credit Awareness Sessions on a regular basis, including communication of amendments to credit regulations, internal policies, procedures and items raised by ECC to all Sales and Credit staff across the branch network. Preparing PowerPoint presentations for Credit Awareness Sessions and other training initiatives as directed by Credit Management.
