Our client is seeking for an experienced Credit Analyst to support the assessment, monitoring and management of credit and investment exposures. The successful candidate will conduct financial and credit analysis, monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks and provide recommendations to support sound credit and investment decisions ,working closely with credit and investment committees to safeguard portfolio quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Credit and financial analysis — conducting detailed credit and financial analysis of clients and investment exposures, including financial statements, management accounts, cash flows, forecasts and financial trends.
- Assessing risk exposure — evaluating creditworthiness, financial viability, liquidity and overall risk exposure across assigned portfolios.
- Portfolio monitoring — monitoring assigned portfolios to identify emerging credit and financial risks, and reviewing compliance with approved lending terms, conditions and financial covenants.
- Post-investment follow-up — conducting post-investment monitoring, following up on outstanding financial information, and monitoring repayment performance to support risk mitigation and collection interventions.
- Reporting and recommendations — preparing credit assessments, risk review reports and recommendations for relevant committees, supported by financial modelling, forecasting and sensitivity analysis.
- Market awareness and compliance — conducting industry and market analysis to assess factors affecting portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with credit policies, risk appetite and applicable legislation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in credit, corporate finance, investment, banking or development finance
- Proven experience in credit analysis, financial analysis and risk assessment
- Experience in post-investment monitoring or portfolio management advantageous
- Experience within a DFI or institutional lending environment advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance,Accounting,Economics, Commerce or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Investment Management, Development Finance advantageous.
