Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate product and job costings.
  • Capture and update costing information on internal systems.
  • Assist with preparing quotations and pricing for new and existing jobs.
  • Review material, labour, production and other associated costs.
  • Liaise with Production, Procurement, Sales and Finance to ensure costing information is accurate and up to date.
  • Investigate costing variances and assist with resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with reporting on costs, margins and job profitability.
  • Ensure costing procedures and company processes are consistently followed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the costing and commercial functions.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
  • A relevant qualification in Costing, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in costing, administration, finance or a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the printing, packaging or manufacturing industry would be an advantage.
