Cost and Reporting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Cost & Reporting Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for leading cost management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing strategic financial insights, driving reporting excellence, and supporting data-driven decision-making through modern finance practices and technology, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and business intelligence tools. Key ResponsibilitiesCost Management Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes. Monitor expenditure against budget and investigate variances. Conduct profitability, margin, and cost analyses to identify improvement opportunities. Develop and implement cost-control initiatives across the business. Provide financial insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. Financial Reporting Prepare accurate and timely management and group financial reports. Manage annual financial statement preparation and consolidation. Prepare and submit provisional and annual tax returns. Develop and enhance reporting models that integrate financial and operational data. Deliver meaningful financial commentary and performance insights. Business Partnering & Continuous Improvement Partner with business leaders to improve financial performance. Support financial strategy, risk management, and planning initiatives. Drive reporting automation and process improvements. Collaborate with IT to optimise reporting systems, dashboards, and business intelligence capabilities. Support month-end reporting and strategic finance projects.
