Are you a Cost & Management Accountant who loves getting beyond the numbers and into the heart of the operation? We’re looking for a commercially minded finance professional to join a dynamic plant environment, where your insights will directly influence costs, budgets, production performance and profitability. This is more than a reporting role — it’s an opportunity to partner with operations, challenge the numbers and help drive better business decisions Duties & Responsibilities
What you’ll be responsible for
- Driving cost accounting and management accounting within a plant environment
- Preparing and managing BOMs (Bills of Materials) and analysing production costs
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitoring and analysing WIP (Work in Progress) and inventory
- Identifying cost variances, trends and opportunities for improvement
- Providing meaningful financial insights to operations and senior management
- Supporting improved cost control, efficiency and profitability
- Translating complex financial data into practical commercial decisions
What you’ll need
- Relevant Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 5+ years' experience in Cost / Management Accounting
- Strong experience within a manufacturing, production or plant environment
- Solid understanding of BOMs, WIP, budgeting and forecasting
- Strong analytical and commercial skills
- Ability to work closely with operations and non-financial stakeholders
- A hands-on, proactive approach — someone who isn't afraid to get into the detail!
