MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- GRADE 12
- National Diploma in Journalism/Public Relations/Communications/Media Studies/Marketing or relevant fi eld.
- Minimum two 2 years relevant experience in communications environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Valid Code B Driving License
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Identify and write articles for internal and external newsletters and other municipal publications.
- Attend, document and provide media coverage of municipal programmes, projects, meetings and events.
- Coordinate internal communication initiatives to keep employees informed, engaged and aligned with organisational objectives.
- Assist in planning, organising, and coordinating municipal events, press conferences and awareness campaigns.
- Capture and produce photographs, videos and other multimedia content for use across communication platforms. Coordinate the setup and placement of branding materials and promotional displays before, during and after municipal events.
- Perform any other communication-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor
