Start free — we apply for you →We're looking for an experienced Control Room Risk Operator to join our dynamic team in the trucking industry. As a key member of our operations team, you'll be responsible for managing risk, tracking shipments, and providing top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage risk alerts, identifying potential threats to shipments
- Make bookings and updates via Navis, and track port updates via website and WhatsApp groups
- Track trucks in real-time, providing hourly updates to clients
- Use instincts and discretion to mitigate risk and resolve issues
- Assist operations with bookings and route management
- Monitor driver behaviour, tracking
- Speed violations
- Harsh braking
- Harsh acceleration
- Cornering
- Idling
- Route deviations
- Unauthorized stops
- Respond immediately to Pulsit alerts, alarms, and high-risk incidents
- Analyse driver behaviour trends, identifying repeat offences and areas for improvement
- Log truck breakdowns with relevant parties
- Assess pods and tripsheets from drivers
- Send diesel orders via email and Fuel U to website
- Monitor cameras and ensure security protocols are followed
- Collaborate with drivers, clients, and teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- 1+ years' experience in logistics or a related field
- Proven experience with Navis and tracking systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong instincts and discretion
