CCTV OPERATORCompany: EThekweni Security ConsultantsLocation: Bluff Road, Jacobs, DurbanEmployment Type: Full-TimeIndustry: Security ServicesJob OverviewEThekweni Security Consultants is looking for a reliable, alert and experienced CCTV Operator to monitor CCTV surveillance systems and assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment.The successful candidate will be responsible for continuously monitoring surveillance cameras, identifying suspicious or unusual activity, responding to incidents, and ensuring that all relevant incidents are properly reported and recorded.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor CCTV cameras and surveillance systems at all times.Identify suspicious, unusual or unlawful activity.Respond promptly to security incidents and escalate matters when required.Monitor access points, premises and surrounding areas.Record and report incidents accurately and timeously.Maintain detailed CCTV monitoring logs and incident reports.Review and retrieve CCTV footage when required.Communicate effectively with security officers, supervisors and management.Report equipment faults or CCTV system problems immediately.Maintain confidentiality of CCTV footage and sensitive information.Follow all company security procedures and operational instructions.Assist with investigations by locating and preserving relevant CCTV footage.Minimum RequirementPrevious CCTV monitoring experience is essential.PSIRA registration and relevant security qualifications.Experience working with CCTV surveillance systems.Good communication and report-writing skills.Computer literate.Able to remain alert and focused for extended periods.Ability to work under pressure and respond appropriately to incidents.Clear criminal record.Reliable and professional.AdvantageousExperience with access control systems.Experience in a control room or security operations centre.Knowledge of CCTV playback, footage retrieval and evidence preservation.Previous experience in the private security industry.Working HoursThe position may require shift work, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays.Personal AttributesWe are looking for someone who is:Alert and observantReliable and punctualProfessional and trustworthyCalm under pressureDetail-orientedDisciplinedAble to work independently and as part of a teamHow to ApplyInterested candidates who meet the above requirements are invited to submit their CV, together with copies of relevant qualifications and PSIRA documentation, to:Email: ethekweniseccon22@gmail.com
