Safety, Health, and Environment
- Adhere to all health and safety practices and requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping to ensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
Program Coordination and Support
- Support the development, implementation and monitoring of Contractor Social Management Plans CSMPs and associated social performance commitments for socially material contracts.
- Track and report program progress, including contractor compliance with social impact mitigation measures.
- Maintain accurate records of all program activities and outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Facilitate communication between contractors, the corporate social department, and community stakeholders.
- Respond to basic queries from stakeholders regarding social management initiatives.
- Provide administrative support for contractor-related grievance processes by capturing information, maintaining records, coordinating meetings and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the receipt, tracking and coordination of contractor-related grievances, including investigations, resolution actions and stakeholder communication.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Conduct site visits to verify contractor adherence to agreed-upon social standards and policies.
- Collect data related to community feedback and contractor performance for reporting purposes.
- Assist in preparing routine compliance and performance reports for internal review.
Compliance and Administration
- Ensure contractor compliance with corporate social responsibility guidelines and legal requirements in alignment with the Social Way Standard and Contractor Performance Management process.
- Document issues related to contractor non-compliance and escalate them as necessary.
- Coordinate and maintain contractor training schedules on social and environmental policies.
General Administrative Tasks
- Manage the filing and storage of program-related documentation.
- Support the department in preparing communication materials related to contractor social management.
- Perform other related tasks as delegated by supervisors.
This role is in Corporate Affairs COR department on a Band 7 C-Upper level reporting to the Specialist Social Risk & Impact.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- NQF5 qualification in Business Administration Services or equivalent
- SA Drivers Licence
Technical Knowledge
- Basic understanding of CSR principles, particularly in contractor and community relations.
- Familiarity with community engagement and development practices.
- Awareness of organisational social and environmental policies, contractor compliance standards, and relevant regulations.
- Knowledge of basic monitoring techniques to assess contractor performance and program outcomes.
- Awareness of the local community's social dynamics, cultural norms, and economic environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word, Outlook and SAP preferred.
