- RPO Recruitment's client, an established energy solutions firm based in Gauteng is seeking a highly experienced Construction / Project Manager to join their team for an upcoming solar PV plant project in the South of Johannesburg.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and project delivery of a large-scale renewable energy project, ensuring that work is executed safely, efficiently and to the required quality and project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee construction activities for the upcoming PV/Solar Plant
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors and project teams
- Monitor project progress, quality, costs and programme
- Ensure construction activities are completed in accordance with project requirements and standards
- Manage project documentation, reporting and stakeholder communication
- Identify and resolve construction and project-related issues
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and quality requirements
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Construction Manager / Project Manager within construction or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in solar PV / renewable energy projects would be highly advantageous
- Pr CM or Pr CPM registration with SACPCMP preferred
- Strong construction and project management experience
- Ability to manage contractors, project teams and project deliverables
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project planning and site execution
- Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a project/site-based environment
