This internship will provide hands-on experience, mentorship and practical training to help you develop the skills needed to become a successful construction professional.
1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, workers and subcontractors. Monitor work progress against drawings, specifications and project schedules. Enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) rules and safe work practices. Inspect workmanship and materials to ensure required quality standards. Coordinate the delivery and use of construction materials, tools and equipment. Keep daily site diaries, attendance records and progress reports. Identify site problems, delays and risks, and report them promptly to the site manager. Ensure the work area is clean, organised and compliant with site procedures. 2. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and/or Physical Science (advantageous). Relevant construction qualification (National Diploma, NQF Level 5 or higher) or enrolment in a recognised construction programme. Previous experience on a construction site (advantageous).
