Construction General Worker

Duties & Responsibilities

Comply with all safety standards as per the Mine Health and Safety Act and the mine's standard operating procedures. Use appropriate PPE Continuously monitor for unsafe ground conditions (e.g., loose rock, water ingress) and take appropriate action. Provide shift reports and handovers to the next shift. Communicate with shift supervisors and control room personnel regarding progress, delays, or safety concerns. Attend pre-shift meetings, safety briefings, and contribute to risk assessments or incident reports. Desired Experience & Qualification

Grade 10/Grade 12 advantageous. MQA Competent B certificate - Underground Hard rock operations. MQA recognised PTV certificate. MQA recognised working on heights certificate advantageous. MQA recognised hand tool certificate advantageous. MQA recognised confined space certificate advantageous. Minimum 3 years practical experience in an underground mining environment. Experience in a construction role with be advantageous. Good communication skills. Analytical/problem solving skills. Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness. Must be willing to work flexible shifts. No criminal record. Proven record of service. Must be a South African Citizen.
