Job Title: Conservation Guide / Research Coordinator Start Date: 2026-08-24 - 2026-09-23 Vacancy Type: Contractor WDH002516 Sectors: Conservation Guides and Trackers Location: Limpopo , Greater Kruger Salary: R 15 000 Monthly Basic Salary Brief: A conservation-focused travel organisation running programmes across multiple camps and reserves in the Greater Kruger area is looking for a CONSERVATION GUIDE / RESEARCH COORDINATOR to join their team on a five-month fixed-term contract. Detail: This is a varied, field-based role for someone who's happy moving between different teams, locations and groups. You'll need a genuine passion for conservation, wildlife and environmental education, plus the flexibility to adapt as programme needs shift. Core Criteria: FGASA qualification or CATHSETA accreditation Valid First Aid certificate Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) South African citizen or holder of a valid work visa Conservation or wildlife field experience Experience working with volunteers or groups Strong communication and wildlife identification skills Comfortable working with new teams and in remote environments Highly flexible, adaptable and well organised Candidate Responsibilities: Support conservation research, monitoring and wildlife surveys Lead and assist with field-based data collection and camera trapping Train and support volunteers in research and field skills Maintain accurate data and contribute to research reporting Lead conservation activities and field experiences for international groups and young people Deliver engaging conservation and environmental education Support practical conservation projects across different programmes Adapt activities and delivery style to suit different groups, teams and environments Build positive working relationships across multiple programmes Respond proactively and professionally as programme needs change Package Offer: Live-in position (shared accommodation) Meals provided Laundry service Free Wi-Fi Working pattern: 3 weeks on, 1 week off Paid time off over Christmas and New Year Contract: 5 months, fixed-term, starting ASAP and ending 31 January 2027 show more...
