SD Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is a Medical Recruitment Company operating 24/7, providing healthcare staffing solutions across South Africa. The Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that all Healthcare Professionals (specifically Nurses) meet internal and external compliance standards prior to placement at client facilities. This role is ideally suited to an HR graduate (BTech HR / BCom HR), with or without 1 year of experience, who has a strong interest in HR administration, employee lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and personnel file management. The Compliance Officer serves as the central point of coordination between candidates, Medical Consultants, Payroll, and Clients to ensure accurate onboarding, document control, and adherence to legislative and organizational requirements. Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment by posting vacancies, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, onboarding, and inductions.
- Ensure candidate compliance by verifying documentation, conducting background and reference checks, maintaining personnel files, and monitoring regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and compliance status on the CRM system.
- Support HR administration, employee documentation, and adherence to company policies and labour legislation.
- Coordinate onboarding documentation with Payroll to ensure timely processing.
- Liaise with internal departments to facilitate smooth placements and provide compliance updates.
- Prepare compliance reports, monitor turnaround times, and recommend process improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Completed BTech HR or BCom HR degree.
- 0–1 years’ experience in HR Administration, Recruitment, or Compliance (advantageous).
- Knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle administration.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
