Compliance Manager (Industrial Manufacturing / SHE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned with relevant ISO standards, LEAN and risk-management principles.
• Manage integrated audits, inspections, legal compliance and risk programmes .
• Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, ISO standards, NOSA, Kosher, Halaal and sustainability requirements .
• Ensure adherence to applicable OHS, COIDA, environmental, food-safety, POPIA and other legislation .
• Lead incident investigations and ensure effective root-cause corrective and preventative actions .
• Monitor legislative changes and implement appropriate controls.
• Liaise with regulators, authorities, customers and other key stakeholders.
• Provide compliance guidance to senior management and promote a strong compliance culture.
• Oversee Security, Cleaning, Fire Services, Waste Removal and other outsourced contractors .
• Manage site access, contractor inductions and compliance documentation.
• Audit dispatch processes to minimise fraud and theft risks .
• Manage compliance budgets and support LEAN, ESG, sustainability and climate-resilience initiatives .

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in OHS, Environmental Science, Food Science, Risk, Operations Management or a related field.
• 8 to 10 years experience in Compliance, SHEQ, FSSC/ISO 22000 or Risk Management, including 3 to 5 years at management level within manufacturing or food production.
• Strong knowledge of OHS Act, COIDA, environmental and food-safety legislation, POPIA, ISO 31000 and contractor management .
• NEBOSH/SAMTRAC and relevant ISO Lead Auditor qualifications advantageous.
• CPrac (SA), Compliance Professional (CISA), SACPCMP, LEAN or Quality Management qualifications advantageous.
• Strong leadership, audit, analytical, stakeholder-management, project-management and problem-solving skills .
• High levels of integrity, attention to detail and accountability , with the ability to manage pressure and compe
