Compliance Administrator

The Compliance Administrator role is to efficiently and effectively carry out all administrative duties related to specific funds to meet the NBC Client Service Provider Agreement (SPA) in accordance with NBC standards and procedures.

Key Outputs

• Monitoring employer compliance with Section 13A by reviewing the Fund's bank statements and contribution schedule register, following up with defaulting employers, and preparing 90-day default reports. • Preparing employer statements of account for non-compliant employers managed by the Compliance Team, Legal Department, and Fund Attorneys. • Reconciling employer accounts, calculating Late Payment Interest (LPI), and assisting with reconciliations for employers with arrears. • Identifying unallocated contributions and liaising with the Administration Team and employers to obtain outstanding schedules and facilitate allocation. • Drafting settlement agreements for employers in arrears. • Preparing audit data for cleaning associations and liaising with associations regarding employer registrations and compliance status. • Preparing compliance reports for death claims relating to non-compliant employers for SA Quantum. • Issuing compliance certificates and letters of participation. • Handling client queries via telephone, email, walk-ins, and shared mailboxes, including contribution allocations, claims, and general Fund-related enquiries. • Providing guidance to employers on maintaining compliance, completing registration forms, participating in the Fund, and employer training. • Assisting members of non-compliant employers with information on lodging complaints with the Pension Funds Adjudicator (PFA). • Assessing employer registration applications, performing verification checks, issuing registration certificates and welcome packs, and coordinating employer registration on the RFAS system. • Communicating Fund updates, operational changes, and compliance requirements to employers and stakeholders. Experience:

• 3 years ‘s experience in similar role or work-related position with good knowledge of Employee Benefits • A good understanding of administration systems (Everest will be advantageous) • Computer literacy – Advanced Ms excel Qualifications:

• Matric and or equivalent qualification, Certificate of Proficiency in Retirement Funds (COP) • BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification • RE5 completed (advantageous) Skills and Behavioural attributes:
