About the Role

We’re looking for a Communications Graduate to support our Communications team in delivering engaging internal and external communications across the business.

Based in Cape Town (in-office), this role provides hands‑on exposure to corporate communications, event coordination, and social media content creation. You will work closely with the Communications Manager to ensure clear, consistent messaging aligned to EDF power solutions’ brand, values, and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Communications

  • Support the creation of internal newsletters, All Hands communications, intranet content, and presentations.
  • Assist in maintaining internal platforms such as SharePoint and Grid 365.
  • Coordinate internal campaigns (e.g. HSE and People & Culture initiatives).
  • Support communication of employee milestones, announcements, and internal events.

External Communications

  • Assist in sourcing and preparing content for media releases, website updates, and external newsletters.
  • Support media database management and monitoring reports.

Event Coordination

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for internal and external events.
  • Coordinate invitations, RSVPs, venues, suppliers, and event materials.
  • Support on‑site event delivery and post‑event reporting.
  • Assist with corporate branding materials, gifts, and merchandise coordination.

Social Media Content

  • Assist in creating and scheduling social media content aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Support development of visuals and communication materials for digital platforms.

Administration

  • Provide general administrative support to the Communications team.
  • Maintain communication resource folders and assist with coordination activities across offices.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of internal and external communications, writing, editing, and event coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a communications, PR, marketing, media, or administrative support role.

Preferred

  • Exposure to digital communications and social media content creation.
  • Experience with tools such as Canva, Hootsuite, or Mailchimp.
  • Basic graphic design skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office; SharePoint and Teams knowledge advantageous.
