An awesome opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Underwriter to join a small but reputable brokerage based in the Durban North area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Commercial underwriting
- Personal lines underwriting
- Claims management
- General policy and insurance administration
- Client servicing and Insurer liaison
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ Commercial Underwriting experience
- A strong commercial insurance knowledge
- Short-term insurance administration experience from a Brokerage's perspective
- Claims and personal lines exposure an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- NQF Level 4 Short-Term Insurance qualification (150 FAIS credits) & RE5 certification advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
