Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Underwriter to join our team in Roodepoort. As the Commercial Underwriter, you will report to the Underwriting Manager and be responsible for daily underwriting activities. Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the daily underwriting liaison for assigned brokers
- Provide tailor-made solutions to client needs
- Quote and underwrite for broker agencies
- Handle all aspects of short-term insurance policies
- Facilitate placement and renewal of facultative reinsurance
- Administer the SASRIA Ltd portion of policies
Requirements
- Qualification in Short Term Insurance NQF 4
- RE 5, FAIS, FETC certificates
- Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial underwriting
- Experience with insurance operating systems
- Strong communication skills
