The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, increasing revenue, acquiring new customers, strengthening existing client relationships and managing the sales pipeline. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an individual who is confident developing strategy, identifying opportunities, negotiating agreements and driving results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement sales and commercial strategies.
Set and drive sales targets and revenue growth.
Identify new markets, customers and business opportunities.
Generate leads and develop new business relationships.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
Prepare and oversee quotations, proposals and tenders.
Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial terms.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasts.
Monitor sales performance, revenue and gross profit.
Lead, coach and develop the sales team.
Build strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
Work closely with Operations, Procurement and Finance to ensure customer commitments are commercially viable and successfully delivered.
Provide management with sales forecasts, market intelligence and commercial reporting.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Matric.
Relevant qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Commerce or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years' relevant sales/business development experience.
2–3 years' experience in a sales management or commercial leadership role.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing revenue.
B2B sales and key-account management experience.
Experience with quotations, proposals, tenders, pricing and contract negotiations.
Strong understanding of gross profit, margins and commercial risk.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales management systems.
Valid driver's licence.
Willingness to travel for customer visits.
Existing industry knowledge/network advantageous.
