Commercial Manager

This role reports directly to Business Divisional Manager (Tank Terminals) and is based at Durban Tank Terminals. Roles & Responsibilities: Supports the Business Division Manager and coordinates with other support functions, particularly finance and legal Executes strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share Develops and implements an effective and efficient customer and stakeholder relationship management strategy Plans and conducts market research, competitor analysis and market segment analysis; prospecting for new business and pipeline responsibility Maintains up-to-date customer contracts register Updates pricing and communicate/negotiate with customers Liaises with Operations to obtain and verify monthly invoicing inputs then ensure commercial data accuracy and consistency across systems Prepares monthly revenue reports for management Provides commercial insights, driving profitable growth and supporting for delivery of the organisation’s long-term goals Updates and provides Commercial Budget Other Attributes: Ability to think strategically, embrace new ideas and maintain a strong customer- and market-focused approach Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges and implement logical, well-organised solutions Excellent customer engagement, negotiation and relationship-management skills, with the ability to drive operational efficiency Maintains high standards of professionalism, integrity, discretion and confidentiality Proven ability to meet and exceed targets within agreed deadlines and required timeframes Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, build effective working relationships and influence key stakeholders
