- Manage the commercial and financial aspects of tenders, bids and customer proposals .
- Lead and support customer and contract negotiations from a commercial perspective.
- Analyse costing, margins, profitability and pricing to support commercially sound decisions.
- Work extensively with BOMs and product/project costing .
- Analyse and manage P&L performance , identifying risks and opportunities.
- Review contractual terms and evaluate their financial and commercial implications.
- Partner with finance, sales, operations and other key stakeholders.
- Provide commercial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
- Identify opportunities to improve margins, profitability and commercial performance.
Job Experience and Skills Required
• BCom degree or relevant higher qualification. • Minimum 5 years' experience in a commercial role . • Strong combination of finance and commercial experience . • Proven exposure to tender management . • Strong customer-facing and contract negotiation experience . • Solid understanding of costing and BOMs . • Strong P&L management and profitability analysis experience. • Experience within mining, engineering or construction . • Commercially minded with strong analytical and negotiation capabilities. • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
