About the Role: The Commercial Finance & Business Modelling Intern will support the commercial finance function by assisting with financial modelling, programme costing, pricing strategies, budgeting, commercial reporting, and business case development. The role will contribute to the financial sustainability of Signa Opportunity's workforce solutions by providing analytical support, developing commercial insights, and assisting with strategic financial planning. The internship offers practical exposure to commercial finance, investment analysis, financial planning, grant funding, and workforce sustainability solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of commercial financial models for existing and future workforce solutions. • Assist with programme costing, budgeting, financial forecasting, and scenario planning. • Analyse direct and indirect programme costs and monitor budget variances. • Support the development of pricing models for workforce solutions, including the YES Programme. • Conduct pricing, margin, contribution, and commercial sustainability analyses. • Assist in evaluating commercial opportunities through sensitivity analysis and financial modelling. • Prepare financial sections of grant applications, funding proposals, and commercial business cases. • Support investment appraisals, return-on-investment (ROI) analyses, proposal pricing, and financial schedules for client proposals. • Prepare commercial reports, management reports, financial dashboards, and programme performance trackers. • Analyse financial data to identify commercial trends, insights, and opportunities. • Collaborate with the General Manager, Business Operations, Marketing & Brand, and Shared Services Finance to support commercial planning and programme costing. • Respond to stakeholder requests by preparing financial information and supporting documentation. • Contribute to improving commercial processes by developing reusable financial models, pricing calculators, costing tools, and commercial templates. • Support the automation of commercial reporting and explore AI-enabled productivity tools to improve financial analysis and reporting. • Participate in mentoring, coaching, and workplace learning initiatives while maintaining professional workplace standards. Minimum Requirements:

  • South African citizen.
  • Unemployed graduate aged 1834 years.
  • Available to participate in the full 24-month internship programme.
  • In possession of a completed relevant qualification.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical ability and an interest in commercial finance.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability.
