Do you have experience working with supplier rebates, trading terms, promotional allowances or contract-related financial data within a retail, FMCG or similarly high-volume environment?

We are looking for a detail-driven Commercial Finance Analyst to ensure that commercial agreements are accurately captured, validated, reconciled and supported by the correct documentation.

This is not a Senior Financial Controller role. It is a hands-on commercial finance position suited to someone with strong numerical accuracy, advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems, reconciliations and month-end processes. Duties & Responsibilities

You are likely to be a strong match if you have

  • A relevant Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Commerce or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Approximately 3 to 5 years’ experience in finance administration, accounts payable or receivable, contract accounting or retail finance support.
  • Experience capturing and maintaining financial information on SAP or a similar ERP system .
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Exposure to reconciliations, accruals, journals and month-end support.
  • An understanding of supplier rebates, allowances, promotional mechanics or other retail trading terms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

What you will be responsible for

  • Capture the financial elements of supplier and commercial agreements on SAP CCM, ERP and supporting systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of rebates, allowances, promotions, incentives and other commercial fees.
  • Validate calculation rules, effective dates, tiers, thresholds and accounting codes before records are published.
  • Ensure signed contract financials are captured within agreed service levels.
  • Prepare master-data change requests and supporting documentation for approval.
  • Run routine checks and reconciliation reports.
  • Investigate discrepancies and escalate complex or high-value exceptions.
  • Assist with accrual calculations and month-end schedules.
  • Post standard journal entries within the required delegated limits.
  • Maintain contracts, attachments and approval evidence for audit purposes.
  • Support the resolution of supplier or financial disputes by providing transactional evidence and calculation schedules.
  • Help improve templates and processes to reduce manual errors and rework.

What will set you apart

  • Previous experience within a retail or FMCG environment .
  • Working knowledge of SAP CCM .
  • Practical experience with supplier trading terms or conditional contracts.
  • Strong reconciliation and problem-solving ability.
  • The confidence to identify and question incorrect calculations or incomplete documentation.
  • A track record of meeting deadlines in a high-volume environment.

The person we are looking for You are organised, reliable and comfortable working with detailed financial information. You understand that a small error in a rate, date, tier or accounting code can create a much bigger problem later.

You are also able to work effectively with commercial and finance teams, follow structured approval processes and maintain accurate records that stand up to scrutiny.
