- B.Sc. degree or Diploma in Agriculture, preferably related to plant production, is highly preferred
- A valid standard vehicle driving licence is required; a heavy vehicle driving licence will be advantageous
- Practical farm experience in harvesting, pruning and fertilisation is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge and practical mechanical ability will be advantageous
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Upkeep of farm road infrastructure
- Water reticulation
- Fence maintenance
- Fire breaks
- Dam and pump maintenance
- Building maintenance
- Access control
- Waste management
- Report to the Director as and when required
- Oversee maintenance of the three houses on the premises and all other farm buildings
- Train and supervise farm workers. The Farm Manager is ultimately responsible for the effective execution of all operational activities
- Keep the asset register accurate and up to date.
