Commercial & Billing Analyst

Introduction

We're looking for a Commercial & Billing Analyst that will support the commercial and billing teams by ensuring accurate customer billing, analysing revenue and operational data, monitoring pricing compliance, and assisting with commercial reporting. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain exposure to the commercial and operational aspects of the transport and logistics industry. Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement systematic customer billing verification for accurate and on time billing. • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer queries. • Analyse transport revenue, costs, and profitability across customers and routes. • Assist with customer rate maintenance and pricing updates. • Prepare weekly and monthly commercial performance reports. • Monitor billing compliance with customer contracts and agreed rates. • Support revenue assurance and identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy. • Collaborate with operations, customer service, and finance teams to resolve commercial issues. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc commercial analysis. • Maintain data integrity within billing and transport management systems.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Skills: • Grade 12 (Matric) • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field. • Strong numerical and analytical ability. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modelling & analysis). • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work with large datasets and meet deadlines.
