Job Title : Cold End: Fitter
Location : Bellville Plant
Closing date : Friday, 06 November 2026
Role description
To contribute to the efficient repair, maintenance and operation of all the equipment in the Cold End Department.
Responsibilities
- Sets up, monitors and settles job changes.
- Responsible for planned maintenance on production lines.
- Does repairs on production lines and general plant equipment.
- Performs general engineering duties and maintains good engineering practices.
- Be willing to transfer skills to the rest of the team, ensuring effective team output.
- Adheres to departmental standards and procedures.
- Required to work overtime.
- Required to fulfil standby duties.
Requirements Quaifications
- Matric / N3 equivalent
- Fitter or Fitter & Turner trade certificate (Red seal) – prerequisite
- Hydraulics, Pneumatics knowledge and skills (basic engineering)
- Experience in conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes and drives
- Basic Computer literacy (SAP system added advantage)
Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a high-speed job changeover environment (added advantage)

- Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
- Dealing with pressure and setbacks
- Problem-solving and analysis
- Team Orientation
- Must be prepared to work in unfavourable conditions e.g. hot and noisy areas.
- Must have own tools
- Must have own reliable transport
