A Driver Trainer is responsible for teaching, mentoring, and assessing drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant vehicle operation.
Key Responsibilities
Driver Trainers prepare new and experienced drivers for safe vehicle operation through a combination of classroom instruction, behind-the-wheel training, and hands-on demonstrations. Core duties include:
- Teaching vehicle operation skills , including pre-trip inspections, backing and docking techniques, coupling/uncoupling, fuel management,
- Providing regulatory and compliance training , covering hours-of-service rules,
- Offering post-solo support to new drivers, addressing questions, coaching on real-world situations, and reducing early-career accidents
- Maintaining and preparing training equipment and aids , ensuring vehicles and simulators are serviceable and safe for use .
Desired Experience & Qualification
Experience training drivers on motorbikes and / or motorcars
ideally from a driving school
Package & Remuneration
R7000 - 15000PM GROSS NEG DEP ON SKILLS AND PERSON
