The Midland Group wants to increase its CV database for Code 14 Truck Drivers as we often need Code 14 drivers during our November, December, January, and April peak seasons (temporary positions, with the possibility of permanent employment as vacancies open up). Candidates must be willing to report for duty at our Vereeniging, Gauteng branch.
Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain, and ensure truck is roadworthy.
Adhere to fleet controller instructions and assigned routes.
Receive stock at abattoir and take ownership for the delivery thereof.
Verify that the correct stock is loaded and delivered.
Transport stock safely and on time.
Complete trip and delivery-related administration.
Oversee loaders during loading/unloading.
Ensure correct handling of stock.
Protect the truck and stock.
Maintain sober habits and professional behavior.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Code 14 driving experience with a heavy delivery truck.
- Valid drivers licence.
- Valid PDP.
- Cellphone with data for communication purposes.
- Willingness to work long hours and overtime when necessary.
- Willingness to go on sleepouts/far routes, as well as local trips.
Package & Remuneration
R 31.23 per hour, paid fortnightly.
Overtime to be worked when going on sleepouts.
