We are looking for an experienced and reliable Code 10 Tipper Driver to join our team. The successful candidate must be confident driving a manual vehicle and have previous experience operating a tipper truck, particularly when transporting and tipping building materials.
This position is suited to a responsible driver who understands the importance of vehicle safety, accurate deliveries and careful handling of materials.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive a Code 10 manual tipper truck .
- Transport and deliver building materials to various sites and customers.
- Load, transport and safely tip materials at designated locations .
- Ensure materials are delivered to the correct site and location.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and in good working condition.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company procedures.
- Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate professionally with customers, site staff and colleagues.
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of materials when required.
- Ensure all loads are secured correctly before travelling.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Knowledge of Bloemfontein will be beneficial, as the driver will need to deliver throughout Bloemfontein and surrounds.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with valid PDP.
- Must be able to drive a manual vehicle.
- Previous experience driving a tipper truck is essential.
- Previous experience transporting and tipping building materials or similar materials .
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant driving/tipper experience .
- Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle operating procedures.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading duties when required.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- A professional attitude and strong safety awareness.
