Code 10 Picker/Driver – Dispatch Parow, Cape Town A reputable client based in Parow is seeking an experienced Code 10 Picker/Driver to join their warehouse and dispatch team. The successful candidate must have practical experience driving an actual truck while carrying and delivering commercial loads. This is a hands-on role combining warehouse, dispatch and customer delivery responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
- Drive a Code 10 truck to complete customer deliveries.
- Safely transport and deliver commercial loads.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
- Check stock quantities, labels and delivery documentation.
- Assist with loading and offloading goods.
- Complete vehicle pre-trip inspections.
- Follow daily delivery routes and instructions.
- Maintain delivery records and daily driving logbooks.
- Record fuel usage, oil consumption and vehicle mileage.
- Monitor vehicle service intervals.
- Report accidents, incidents or vehicle concerns.
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
- Assist with stock counts and general dispatch duties.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PDP.
- Driver’s licence held for at least five years.
- Clean driving record.
- Proven experience personally driving a truck and delivering commercial loads.
- Experience handling delivery notes and driving logbooks.
- Warehouse or dispatch experience.
- Physically fit and able to perform picking, packing, loading and offloading.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
