A well-established transport and logistics company is seeking to appoint a qualified Coach Builder to join their workshop teams based in Pretoria and Cape Town.
This role focuses on the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of vehicle body components and interior fittings on coaches. The position is workshop-based and does not involve panel beating or spray painting work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle inspections and accurately record defects on job cards
- Perform general repairs on coach body components and fittings
- Repair and maintain doors, seats, seatbelts, toilet systems, and related components
- Ensure all interior and exterior fittings are functional and secure
- Complete and manage job cards, ensuring all faults are logged and signed off
- Carry out post-repair inspections and ensure quality standards are met
- Attend to breakdowns and provide effective fault-finding and repairs
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and working environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company procedures
- Utilize workshop systems and tools effectively
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Coach Builder (Trade Test Certificate essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
- Experience working on buses/coaches or similar vehicles
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body components and interior systems
- Computer literate
- Valid Code EC driver’s license with PDP (advantageous or willing to obtain)
- Own toolbox

Additional Information
- Position is workshop-based (not panel shop / spray painting)
