- Assessing ditching operations within the area of jurisdiction and verifying work is undertaken of a high standard and taking into account the development of disease vectors. Inspecting watercourses and streams for the purposes of conducting complaints investigation and determining work required to resolve complaints.
- Maintains an accurate database of watercourses requiring ditching for input into sectional operational plans. Confirming work undertaken by Co-Operatives is completed according to standards and compiles documentation for submission to management for authorisation and payment purposes. Verifying and monitoring vehicle utilisation by surbodinate staff and investigate/report suspected abuse.
- Checking and approving log sheets and maintain filing system of records of log sheets for audit purposes. Responsible for opening and closing of depots and ensuring that equipment, facilities and vehicles are secured at the end of the shift and attend to after hours security call outs. Operating the depot workshop to ensure that machines and equipment are repaired and maintained for aptimal production.
- Guide and leads staff on tasks and activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline. Provides support and partcipate in activities and tasks associated with the sectional training program.
Qualifications
- Essentail Experience 3 Years relevant experience., Computer Literacy.
- Preferred Experience 4 Years relevant experience in the fields of industrial and domestic plumbing.
- Essential Qualifications First Aid qualification obtainable within six months of assumption of duty., Required to pass a Law Enforcement Officer's Examination within six months of assumption of duty., Valid motor vehicle drivers licence Code EC 1 obtainable within six months of assumption of duty.
- Preferred Qualifications Relevant Diploma related to Environmental Health or Administration.
