Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of field service technicians to achieve service excellence.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, servicing, preventative maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and electronic CNC machine faults.
- Ensure prompt response to customer breakdowns while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programmes to minimise machine downtime.
- Manage service schedules, technician workloads, and resource planning to optimise efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional after-sales service and technical support.
- Work closely with the Sales team to support new machine installations, customer handovers, and ongoing service requirements.
- Monitor departmental performance, service KPIs, warranty claims, and customer feedback.
- Ensure all work complies with company standards, OEM requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical coaching and ongoing training to service technicians to maintain a high level of expertise.
Minimum Requirements
- Mechanical / Electronic Engineering qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Service Management role within the CNC machinery, manufacturing, or industrial equipment sector.
- Expert knowledge of CNC machine operation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic fault-finding skills.
- Proven experience leading and managing a technical service team.
- Excellent communication, customer relationship, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and service management systems.
- Valid driver''s licence and willingness to travel when required.
