Description

Our client is searching for a Cluster Risk and Safety Manager to join their team in Mpumalanga. A Cluster Risk and Safety Manager provides centralised oversight of risk, safety, compliance, and emergency preparedness across multiple operations, reducing incidents, ensuring legal compliance, improving operational performance, and protecting both people and the organisation's reputation. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Manage and maintain the Integrated Risk Management Systems across the cluster, ensuring they align with ISO standards (typically ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure the cluster adheres to all applicable South African Health, Safety, Environmental, and Risk legislation, specifically the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its regulations.
  • Strategic Risk Assessment: Facilitate site-wide risk assessments - including strategic, operational, and physical risks - and maintain comprehensive site risk and legal compliance registers.
  • Incident & Investigation: Lead high-level incident investigations using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques and ensure that corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) are implemented.
  • Emergency & Disaster Recovery: Drive business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
  • Contractor Management: Coordinate contractor safety to ensure third-party compliance with construction regulations and internal safety standards.

Requirements & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in OHS, Risk Management, or Environmental Management OR similar
  • Experience: 8–10 years' experience in
  • Preferably with experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.:
