Cloud Services Manager

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Governance & Service Delivery

• Oversee the performance, availability, security, and resilience of Azure, Microsoft 365, and AWS environments.
• Ensure cloud services meet agreed SLAs, operational standards, and governance requirements.
• Act as the escalation point for major cloud-related incidents and service disruptions.
• Drive operational excellence through effective incident, problem, change, and capacity management practices.

Managed Service Provider (MSP) Management

• Manage third-party cloud service providers responsible for day-to-day cloud operations and support.
• Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contractual commitments.
• Lead regular service review meetings and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
• Ensure provider resources, skills, and support capabilities remain aligned to business needs.

Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 & AWS Oversight

• Oversee cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and platform services.
• Ensure governance, security, monitoring, access controls, and best-practice standards are maintained across all cloud platforms.
• Manage cloud consumption, performance, optimisation, and operational risks.
• Ensure strong identity and access management controls, including MFA, role-based access, and privileged access management.

Licensing, Financial & Cost Management

• Manage cloud licensing, subscriptions, and usage across Azure, Microsoft 365, and related platforms.
• Monitor cloud expenditure and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for cloud services.

Security, Risk & Compliance

• Ensure cloud environments comply with organisational security policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
• Oversee vulnerability management, security monitoring, audit support, and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with Security and Risk teams to address cloud-related risks and compliance requirements.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Provide regular reporting on service performance, cloud costs, security posture, licence utilisation, risks, and operational KPIs.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and ensure cloud services support strategic and operational objectives.
• Drive continuous service improvement, governance maturity, and operational efficiency across cloud environments.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and AWS .
• Experience managing cloud service providers and vendor relationships.
