Detail: The successful candidate should have deep networking knowledge and experience, with cloud expertise built on top of that foundation. The hiring team is specifically looking for candidates who understand networking from first principles and who can operate comfortably in complex cloud and hybrid environments. Key Requirements: Strong networking fundamentals (routing, switching, network architecture, network security) Experience in traditional on-premises networking environments and/or hybrid cloud environments Strong AWS experience, particularly AWS networking services Experience with: VPCs Transit Gateways VPNs Direct Connect Hybrid connectivity Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure issues beyond standard runbooks. Familiarity with authentication and authorisation protocols such as: Active Directory LDAP Kerberos OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect (OIDC) SAML Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation Kubernetes, containers and cloud-native technologies Ideal Backgrounds: Internet Service Providers (ISPs) Telecommunications organisations Managed Service Providers (MSPs) Enterprise networking teams Network architecture environments Network security teams Infrastructure engineering teams Cloud networking roles Certifications of Interest: The following certifications would be advantageous: Cisco CCNA CCNP CCIE Juniper JNCIA JNCIP JNCIE Fortinet NSE4 NSE6 NSE7 NSE8 Additional certifications from vendors such as Check Point and Arista would also be beneficial.
