This role will assist in the day-to-day running as a Sales Representative, with the ultimate purpose of maximising sales and profitability. This role will also be responsible for excellent customer service in all aspects, representing the Company in a professional way by always being neat, well presented and well spoken.
The Employee's working hours will be as follows (shifts will be applicable):
- Mondays to Fridays 08H30 – 19H00
- Saturdays and Public Holidays 08H30 – 20H00
- Sundays 09H30 – 18H00
Due to the nature of the employer’s business, overtime work in accordance with the employer’s operational requirements are essential. It is therefore agreed that the employee will work overtime during the week, on weekends and public holidays in accordance with the requirements of the employer. Hours are normally determined by the Shopping Centre hours and can differ from store to store. Commencement times may be amended according to the employer’s operational requirements, provided that the employee will be given at least 24 hours' notice prior to such amendment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Reach out to customer through cases that have been assigned to the specific person.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Continuously improve through feedback
- Greet and assist customers as they shop for new products
- Suggest applicable and relevant upsells to help customers walk out the door with everything they need
- Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly sales quotas
- Learn how products work and how to troubleshoot issues with customers
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling
- Organise, rotate, and stock shelves during each store visit.
- Participate in sales meetings and on-site training.
- Deliver presentations and demonstrate products to customers.
- Check that merchandise has price tags or labels.
- Assist customers with special orders.
The above list is not exhaustive, and the employee may be asked to take on other tasks to support and assist in the smooth running of the Company.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- High school diploma (Gr12)
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in sales-clothing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Strong telephone skills
- Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak Afrikaans and English
- Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritising tasks without guidance
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused Mindset
- Deep knowledge in products
