- Senior Certificate/Matric or Grade 12 An appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as Clinical Psychologist.
- Current registration with the Health Professions Council HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience For Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA.
Knowledge and Skills
- Appropriate clinical knowledge & experience in the field of Clinical Psychology; Psychotherapy, assessment, counselling.
- Analytical report writing skills.
- Knowledge of current health and public service legislation, regulations and policies.
- Sound knowledge of professional ethics.
- Research, teaching, time management and training skills.
DUTIES
- Provide supervision to Intern Clinical Psychologists and participation in intern academic programme.
- Provide psychological service delivery at hospital level.
- Participate in hospital teams/committees.
- Support hospital activities related to mental health.
- Supervise work of the psychometrists in the hospital.
- Implement community outreach programmes.
- Assist in training for primary health care professionals.
