- Basic qualification accredited with SANC in terms of Government Notice 425 i.e., diploma/ degree in nursing as Professional Nurse. A minimum of 7 years' appropriate experience in Nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC.
- Current proof of SANC receipt 2026. A qualification in Health Services Management / Nursing Administration from a recognised institution will be an added advantage. Must have a valid driver's license.
- Experience in HIV/AIDS, STI and TB HAST Programmes, Adult Primary Care Guidelines, and knowledge of the PFMA. NIMART training will be an added advantage.
- Skills: Ability to impart knowledge to others, communication with diverse stakeholders, leadership, a flexible approach to work roles. Good communication skills Verbal and written.
- Ability to adhere to strict timelines. Report writing skills, co-ordination skills, computer literacy MS Excel, MSWord and MS PowerPoint. Planning and organization skills.
Duties
- Ensure that nursing teams acquire the skills necessary to implement HIV management including Nurse-initiated Management of Anti-retroviral therapy NIMART, Adult Primary Care guidelines and Differentiated models of Care DMOC strategies. Lead teams to achieve the 959595 strategy targets for HIV as well as the 1,1 million ART Gap Campaign.
- Monitor the performance of reporting units on HIV Programme indicators and assist with implementation of turnaround strategies. Attend HAST Programme meetings, workshops and training.
- Compile reports for submission to the next reporting level. Lead sub-district HAST team. Participate in sub-district activities as a member of the Health sub-district team. Demonstrate basic computer literacy as a support tool to enhance service delivery. Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to improve service delivery.
