Requirements

  • A basic R425 qualification i.e. Diploma / Degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as professional nurse. Registration with SANC as a professional Nurse and proof of current registration. A post basic nursing qualification, with duration of at least one year in Primary Health Care diploma accredited with SANC.
  • Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years' appropriate /recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
  • Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years' appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
  • At least 10 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate experience in Primary Health Care specialty after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification in the relevant specialty. Additional requirement: NIMART training with experience in ART patient's management. A Valid driver's license.

Duties

  • HAST Mentors to ensure the provision of effective and efficient HAST patient care. Demonstrate an understanding of HAST guidelines, DMOC/HTS modalities. Able to implement HAST 95-95-95 strategy.
  • Provide integrated facility support visits for improvement plans. Attend HAS Programme meetings, workshops, and trainings. Compile reports for submission to the next reporting level.
  • Participate in sub-district activities as a member of the health sub-district team. Demonstrate basic computer literacy as a support tool to enhance service delivery. Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to improve service delivery.
