- M + 3 Matric plus 3 years of study Qualification with 360 credits or Diploma NQF 6 in the following fields of study: Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Energy Studies, or other closely related disciplines at NQF level 6 or 7.
- Youth between 18 – 35 years of age, people with disability are encouraged to apply

Primary Function
- Facilitate and coordinate climate change initiatives within the city, including the development of policies, strategies, and plans to ensure climate change is implemented within the city.
Key Activities
- Support the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Climate Action Plan and related projects.
- Assist with climate data collection, analysis and validation, including GHG inventories and CDP reporting.
- Support the development and maintenance of climate action monitoring and tracking tools.
- Conduct climate change research, policy reviews and preparation of technical reports.
- Assist with stakeholder coordination, data gathering, meetings and climate change mainstreaming activities.

- Good time management skills.
Core Competencies
- Knowledge and understanding of environmental issues;
- Basic knowledge of climate change science and the Climate Change Act.
