The role is responsible for Tracking and expediting of vehicles on route to various offloading points in Africa. To track and monitor vehicles on an electronic system in alignment with predefined work objectives (as per agreed standard operating procedures) .
Key Performance Areas
Follow up and expediting of vehicles
Capturing all arrival and departure times at loading points, Border posts and offloading points
Capturing necessary issue related information on the TMS (Claims, Pallets, etc )
Tracking and capturing information regarding CHEP pallets
Reporting of all discrepancies to the relevant Operations Controller and
department
Ad Hoc queries from Operations Controller or client
Assisting assigned operator with daily activities
Qualification required
- Grade 12
Skills and experience required
- 1-2 years relevant experience in the Cross Border Industry.
Excellent communication skills – daily contact with transporters, drivers,
dispatch and receiving personnel
Proficient in the use of MS Word/ Excel/ Outlook
Well versed in e-mail etiquette and MS Outlook with good writing skills
A professional and service driven approach to dealing with vendors and
service providers
Natural ability to organize, neat and punctual
The ability and willingness to work long hours and within strict collection and delivery time constraints
